Asian Young Women’s Leadership Training in the Philippines
Date and Place: December 26, 2012 – January 10, 2013
Manila, Tagaytay, and other provinces in the Philippines
Through this program, Asian young women will:
1. Generate a strong passion and vision to grow as global leaders
2. Be exposed to diverse cultures & learn through leadership development initiatives among Asian young women & communities
3. Gain insight/knowledge about global issues & become ADVOCATES for solutions
4. Experience Filipino family hospitality
Content Overview
1. Dec. 26-30, 2012. Join the Christmas Institute of Filipino youth & young adults
(The Institute features music, games and discussions on Christianity)
2. Dec. 30-Jan 1, 2013. Cultural Exposure: Filipino New Year’s Celebration
3. Jan. 2-4, 2013. Exposure to Social Justice and Peace Programs and Advocacy
4. Jan. 5-9, 2013. (including debriefing). Leadership Seminar and Workshop
5. Jan. 10, 2013. Departure
Registration Information
1. Who may apply:
- Women students at college/graduate level between 18-30 from Asian countries
- Be in good health, willing to live under harsh environment
- Have an interest in social issues; human conditions and communities
- Be willing to take on leadership in all circumstances during the training
- Be able to attend the full program from the beginning to the end. (Some Japanese students may miss the last 3 days due to college schedules.)
2. How to apply:

- Click the button for an application form
- Fill out the application form and submit by the DEADLINE:October 20, 2012
(If accepted, you will be contacted for an interview prior to a final decision.

3. Expenses:
- Travel: Each applicant will be responsible for approximately 50% of the round trip fare to Manila. The exact amount to be announced.
- Room, Board & program materials will be paid by the sponsoring organizations.
- Each applicant will be responsible for her own personal expenses.
